AMS ‘Dogs defeat OMS

The Andalusia Middle School Bulldogs defeated the Opp Middle School Bobcats Thursday night 26-12.
Andalusia’s Hunter Earnest and Kendarius Townsend ran away with the game. Townsend ran for two touchdowns and Earnest had one touchdown and completed a pass for a touchdown.
The Bulldogs (3-3-1) scored first on a 12-yard touchdown pass from Earnest to Townsend.
Then from two yards out, Townsend rushed in for his first touchdown, and the two-point conversion attempt was good by Earnest.
Townsend’s second touchdown came from six yards out, and in the fourth quarter, Earnest sealed the win on a quarterback sneak for a score.
Opp scored on running drives from 70 and three yards out.
Andalusia’s Devan McDuffie, Lane Sirmon and James Montgomery led the Bulldogs in tackles.
In addition, Morris Calloway had recovered a fumble in the game.
Andalusia will travel to Brewton to play W.S. Neal next Thursday for its last game of the season.
