Eagles soar over Wildcats

PLEASANT HOME – Florala’s Wildcats were shut out for the second week in a row, falling 35-0 to Pleasant Home’s Eagles Friday night.
Pleasant Home capitalized on a Florala fumble with 9:55 left in the first. The Eagles’ Cory Sims connected with Hunter Weaver for the score. The two-point conversion was successful, and the Eagles were up 8-0.
The second quarter started out just like the first with a fumble at the five-yard line with 9:20 left in the half. However, this time it was Pleasant Home who fumbled and Pleasant Home who recovered. With 6:33 in the second Colter Poole ran 50 yards to the endzone. The PAT was good, and the Eagles were up 15-0.
The Eagles fumbled and recovered again in the third and Barbaree recovered in the end zone. The PAT was good, and PHS extended its lead to 21-0.
With 2:34 left in the third, Josh O’Neal scored on a run. The PAT was again good, and the Eagles were up 28-0.
Pleasant Home’s final score came in the fourth, shutting out the Wildcats, 35-0.
