The Florala Lady Wildcats started their volleyball season Monday night with a loss to New Brockton, but head coach Joea McNeil said the girls “did a very good job.”

“We did a very good job with it being the very first match,” she said.

Florala lost 13-25, 16-25, 18-25.

“Of course, they were a little nervous to start off with,” McNeil said. “But, they settled down and got to playing better.”

McNeil said her team did a good job serving and saving the ball.

The Lady Wildcats will hit the road Thursday to play Rocky Bayou at 5 p.m.
