Robert Young and William Hines were elected to serve on the Opp City Board of Education at Monday night’s Opp City Council meeting.

Hines will replace Gloria Campbell in District 4, and Young will replace Dean Morris in District 1. There was no opposition for either candidate.

The District 2 race between incumbent Jennifer Ferguson and T.P. Morgan will be the only seat on the Aug. 24 ballot.

Held at the Opp Senior Center on Brantley Street, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and only residents in District 2 may vote.
