The following are important notes for the start of the upcoming school year:

• Opp Elementary School will hold new student and kindergarten orientation today, Tues., Aug. 3, at 6 p.m.

• Straughn Elementary School will end open enrollment today, and student and parent orientation will be held on Wed., Aug. 4, from noon until 2:30 p.m.

• Fleeta Jr. High will hold kindergarten orientation Aug. 4 at 1 p.m.

• Pleasant Home will hold orientation for kindergarten and first grade on the first day of school, Aug. 9.

• Red Level will hold kindergarten orientation on Aug. 5 at 6 p.m.

• Straughn Middle School will hold orientation on Aug. 5 at the following times: sixth grade, 5:30 p.m.; seventh grade, 6 p.m.; and eighth grade at 6:30 p.m.

• W.S. Harlan Elementary School will hold orientation for kindergarten through sixth grade on Aug. 3 from 8 a.m. until noon.
