Stingrays get 2nd at district

The Andalusia Stingrays finished in second place at the 2010 Alabama Recreation and Parks Association District IV swim meet Saturday in Eufaula.
Dothan’s swim team claimed the first place finish.
“I think I can speak for myself and (11-and-ups coach) Gavin (Donaldson) when I say that we were very pleased with our swimmers,” 10-and-under swim coach Barbara Peek said. “A good number of our swimmers posted their best times ever, and some of the improvements were mind-blowing.”
The top three finishers in each event are granted a spot at the state tournament on July 30-31 in Valley, Ala.
