Before lunch Saturday, the answer will be clear, thanks to the Downtown Revitilzation Assocation’s Todd Hawthorne Memorial Barbecue Cookoff.

Participants are setting up today and cooking all night before the 11 a.m. judging Saturday morning.

In addition, event goers can purchase barbecue plates.

Cookoff participants have been encouraged to bring extra meat to sell.

All proceeds not used for prize money will go to the DRA to promote the downtown revitalization.
