Veasey, Bumpers to unite

Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kelly Veasey of Andalusia are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming nuptials of their daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Veasey, to William Allen Bumpers III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Winkler of Athens and the late Mr. William Allen Bumpers Jr.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Florell Hester Bates and the late Mr. Herbert C. Bates and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Veasey Jr., all of Andalusia. She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Norma Carlisle Veasey of Andalusia, and the late Mr. Bruce Veasey of Burnout.
She is a 2006 graduate of Andalusia High School and is currently attending Faulkner University, where she will graduate this December with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pritchett and Mr. and Mrs. William Allen Bumpers Sr., all of Jackson. He is the great-grandson of Mrs. Irma Bumpers and the late Mr. Wesley C. Bumpers of Jackson.
He is a 2004 graduate of Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake Va., and a 2009 graduate of Troy University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in land surveying and geomatic sciences.
He is currently employed with Gustin, Cothern & Tucker Inc., in Niceville, Fla.
The wedding ceremony is planned for August 28, 2010, at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Andalusia, with the reception to follow at the Point “A” Lodge on Point “A” Lake.
Upon returning from their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Andalusia.
