Andalusia’s Paige Caraway and Pleasant Home’s Kayla Woods were selected as honorable mentions in the Class 4A and Class 3A All-State softball team, respectively.

Caraway helped lead the Lady Bulldogs to a Class 4A South Regional tournament berth, and Woods helped usher Pleasant Home to its 10th state tournament appearance in Montgomery.

As a pitcher, Caraway — a junior — pitched 182 innings and struck out 336 batters and averaged 1.846 strikeouts per inning.

Behind the plate, Caraway earned a .471 batting average with 31 RBIs, 36 runs and seven home runs in 2010.
