Twins batter Red Sox

The Twins battered the Red Sox 15-1 in 13-to-14-year-old Babe Ruth baseball action Tuesday night at Johnson Park.
The Twins scored three runs in the first inning, five runs runs in the second inning and seven runs in the fourth in the win.
In the first inning, Owens got the scoring drive started scoring on a single from Watons.
Watson and Veasey later came around on a double from Worley to give the Twins a 3-0 lead.
The five runs in the second inning for the Twins came on hits from Owens, Head, King, Worley, Messick and Hattaway.
The Red Sox scored their only run in the third inning on a single from Z. Hammett to score J.C. Chesser.
In the fourth inning, the Twins added to their 8-1 lead when Watson, Veasey, King, Messick and Head all had singles.
Owens scored three runs; Head scored two runs; Watson scored two runs; Veasey scored two runs; King scored one run; Worley scored two runs; Messick scored two runs; and Hattaway scored one run for the Twins.
Head allowed one run on seven hits and struck out three batters in five innings.
