Titans beat Dominators

The Titans scored 11 runs in the first two innings on their way to a 14-7 victory over the Dominators Tuesday night in 9-to-10-year-old Babe Ruth softball action at Johnson Park.
The Titans’ runs in the first and second innings came on four hits and eight walks.
Mary Salter, Millie Manring, Julia Smith and Rachel Dayton all walked to score the first run for the Titans.
Then, Trish Echols hit a three-run triple to score Manring, Smith and Dayton to help put her team ahead 4-0.
Echols later scored her team’s last run in the first on an error from the first baseman.
In the second inning, the Titans scored their first run on a walk to score Nicole Woods on a walk to Salter.
Manring then hit a single to score Allaina Nettles and McKenzie Jackson.
Later in the inning, Dayton hit a double to sent Salter and Manring home, and then Dayton later scored on a single from Zaria Jones.
The Dominators scored four runs in the second inning to cut the Titans’ to three runs.
Tessa Walker, Erianna Davison, Jamie Blue and Carrington Ward all scored on three hits and three walks in the second inning.
Allie Burden, Walker and Davison scored the Dominators’ last three runs in the third inning.
The Titans put the game away in the third inning as Anna Terry, Echols and Georgia Dean scored one run each.
