The 15-year-old Sanford girl reported missing Memorial Day was located early Tuesday morning.

Chief Deputy David Anderson of the Covington County Sheriff’s Office said Jasmine Botta was last seen at 6 a.m. Monday on Hayfield Lane, located just off Cotton House Road.

Anderson said authorities were notified at approximately 1:30 a.m. Botta was located at an Andalusia residence and had left her Sanford home of her own free will.

The incident is being called a “misunderstanding amongst family members,” Anderson said.
