The Straughn-White 10-and-under Babe Ruth softball team scored seven runs in the first inning on its way to a 12-1 victory over 2xTreme Monday night at Johnson Park.

In other softball action, the Lady Devil Dogs and Believers tied at 14 runs in the 12-and-under league.

10-and-under girls

Straughn-White 12, 2xTreme 1

Jade, Laura Ashley, Maddison, Sarah, Skyler, Elizabeth and Magen all scored for Straughn in the first inning.

2xTreme scored one run in the first inning when O. Amerson scored.

In the second inning, the Straughn-White added two runs when Maddison and Sarah scored on wild pitches.

In the third inning, Jade, Laura Ashley and Sarah scored the final three runs in the game.

12-and-under

Lady Devil Dogs 14, Believers 14

Lea Lawrence and D. Gantt scored three runs each for the Believers in the tie Monday night.

For the Lady Devil Dogs, Jessica Peacock, Shelby Nixon, Hannah Barker and Alyssa Barnes scored two runs each, while Tori Cleghorn scored three runs.

Others that scored a run for the Lady Devil Dogs were Taylor Walker, Breanna Corbell and Meghan Cook scored one run each.

The Believers scored two runs in the first inning, seven runs in the second inning, four runs in the third inning and one run in the fourth inning.

The Lady Devil Dogs scored seven runs in the first inning, five runs in the second inning, and one run in the third and fourth innings.
