The Andalusia Bulldogs golf team finished fourth place in the Class 4A sub-state tournament at Timber Creek in Daphne on Tuesday.

UMS-Wright, Oneonta and Elmore County will move on to the state tournament at Huntsville’s Hampton Cove May 10-11.

Andalusia’s Grayson Gantt finished with shot a 79.

The Bulldogs finished the season 6-2 overall.

“It was a very enjoyable season,” AHS golf coach Marshall Locke said. “I felt like we could have went further, but that’s the way it is.

“We’ve got everybody back next year and we’ll continue to work and try to make it back to the state tournament,” he said.

Locke added that he would like to thank all of the support for the golf team this year.

“I want to thank all of the fans, parents and the school for their support throughout the year,” he said.
