The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles fell to Kinston Thursday night, 4-3.

Kinston shot out to a three-run start in the second inning on a bunt with errors.

Pleasant Home scored one run in the third inning when Ashley Copeland lead off with a walk and later scored on a passed ball.

Kinston scored another run in the fifth inning on a double play attempt by Pleasant Home.

The Lady Eagles added two runs in the sixth on a single by Caitlin Jernigan.

Losing pitcher Gina Davis pitched two innings allowing three runs.

The Lady Eagles finished as the No. 2 seed in Class 1A, Area 3, and will play Florala next Thursday in Kinston to start their run at the area tournament at 2 p.m.
