Ask any student at any Andalusia or Covington County school and odds are they’ll tell you spring break means a trip to the beach.

Spring break begins Monday, and with locals having the opportunity to live so close to a wide variety of beautiful beaches, it’s an easy to include a day trip – which is exactly what Andalusia High School student Lisa Clark said she plans to do.

“I’m going to Ft. Walton, (Fla.), with my parents and my friends too,” Clark said. “We’re going to the beach. You have to, it’s spring break.”

Fellow riders each have a variety of plans.

Stephen Caton said he plans to head to Destin, Fla., to spend time at the family’s beach house. Savannah Ricks is heading to Disney World with her family, and Ava May said she and her family plan to celebrate her birthday.
