AlaWeb Internet Services customers who experienced missing e-mails in recent days can breathe a sigh of relief.
Reports trickled in of customers losing important information in their e-mails, which ranged from hotel reservations to e-tickets.
“The e-mail change is ongoing and expected to be complete some time (Thursday),” said Patty Singleton-Seay, spokesperson for Covington Electric Cooperative. “Most AlaWeb customers have their e-mails now, but all should have them when the transition is complete.”
Singleton-Seay said the change has impacted all customers and was part of the process to improve service.
“This temporary issue is one of many changes taking place to improve overall service, and it was conveyed to the AlaWeb customers through mail and e-mail,” Singleton-Seay said.
“AlaWeb appreciates the patience of its customers during this transition period.”
In December, CEC and Alaweb announced it would make the transfer the technical support services of the Internet service provider to a third party vendor.
