Brewers, Jays take wins in last regular season games

The Andalusia Brewers squeaked by the Covington County White Sox Friday night in Babe Ruth action, winning 8-7.
In the second game of the night, the Blue Jays defeated the Red Sox, 7-2.
Brewers 8, White Sox 7
The White Sox took an early two-run lead after the first inning after Keith Edgar and Lucas Lumpkin both scored.
In the second, the Brewers scored Catlin Jones on a bunt from Jalen Cross.
Each team added one run in the third inning to bring the score to 3-2, with the White Sox in the lead.
The White Sox added to their lead in the fifth inning when Zack Lundsford and Chase Short scored. Lundsford reached on a walk and Short reached on a single.
The Brewers scored three runs in the sixth inning and three more in the seventh to come from behind and get the win.
C.P. Rodgers, Jud Rogers and Cross scored for the Brewers in the sixth. C.P. Rogers, Catlin Jones and Jud Rogers all scored in the seventh inning.
The White Sox added two additional runs in the seventh to bring the score to within one run.
Lundsford earned the win for the Brewers on the mound.
Blue Jays 7, Red Sox 2
A. Burleson started the scoring for the Blue Jays, coming home on an RBI single from Cody Hughes in the first inning.
The Blue Jays did not score again until the third inning when Burleson, C. Herrington, C. Hughes and W. Riley each crossed the plate.
In the fifth inning, the Blue Jays added an additional two runs when T. Rambo scored on an RBI triple from B. Head. Head later scored on an RBI double from C. Hughes.
The Red Sox managed to avoid the shutout late, scoring two runs in the seventh inning.
H. Greathouse and F. Greathouse both scored for the Red Sox.
Cody Hughes earned the win on the mound for the Blue Jays, pitching 4.0 innings and allowing one hit, one walk, zero runs and striking out nine.
