A Dozier man is dead and his wife was life flighted to an unknown burn center after an early morning house fire on Odom Road, outside of Gantt.

The identity of the victims and the circumstances surrounding the incident are not being released at this time, but law enforcement officials are calling the incident “suspicious.”

The events are being investigated by the Covington County Sheriff’s Office.
