HFH organizer says thanks for support

This past weekend we witnessed something amazing. More than 200 of us from all over the county came together to help build a Habitat for Humanity home with the Hanlan family of Opp. People donated materials, their time, tools, equipment and vehicles. In three days we went from a bare foundation to a completely dried in house. We are a community of God’s people. We can work together as a community for the good of our own. We proved it this weekend.
I want to thank all of the volunteers, churches, businesses and organizations that made this possible. I especially want to thank our Habitat for Humanity people who put in long hours to get things set up, and to make things run smoothly.
Our construction people – Jimmy Fowler, Jimmy Cox and Steve Jimmerson and their folks did a superb job of making our first build a success.
John Croft and the church relations group did a great job with the logistics of meals, water, registration and transportation.
Ron Nall and his people came through with t-shirts and excellent signs that got us all to the site.
Finally, David Mock did a great job of getting our foundation ready and Steve Pierce was terrific with our plumbing and electrical.
To all who helped – a heartfelt THANK YOU and well done!
