Naydean Young

Naydean Young, 79, of Florala, passed away Wed., March 4, 2009, in a Dothan hospital. She was the daughter of the late Sanford Hopper and Rena Walker Hopper. She was married to Howard Corbin, who died in 1968, and later to Loren C. Young, who died in 1988. She was a tireless homemaker who enjoyed working in her garden and growing roses as well as maintaining her yard. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She knew each of their birthdays and loved to see them on special family gatherings. She was a member of the Andalusia Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors are three daughters, Martha Corbin of Greenville, Mary Jackson and husband, Paul, of Andalusia, and Ann Johnson of Red Level; two sons, Sanford (Sandy) Corbin and wife, Marsha, of Blum, Texas, and Tim Corbin and wife, Beth, of Andalusia; two sisters, Christine Fletcher of Homosassa Springs, Fla., and Willene Ferrell of Allens, Tenn.; brother, Louis Hopper of Ocala, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death, in addition to her husbands, by two sons, Larry Corbin and Simmon Peter (Silky) Corbin.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sat., March 7, at Evans Funeral Home with John Newson and Tommy Greene officiating with interment in the Florala Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at Evans Funeral Home in Florala from 6-8 p.m. tonight.
