Cortnee Meyers was 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored Thursday as the Vipers slipped by the Dolls for Jr./Sr. softball league victory, 2-0.
Offensively for the Vipers (3-0), Heather Blackmon was 1-for-2 and Abby Blackmon scored the second run in the third inning.
For the Dolls (1-3), Michelle Hulick was 1-for-3 with a double.
The Vipers will take on the Unbelievable Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and the Dolls will take on the Gators at 6 p.m.
Gators 11, Unbelievable 4
Erin Taylor was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored Thursday to help lift the Gators to victory over the Unbelievable, 11-4.
At the plate for the Gators (3-0), Lori Fail was 1-for-1 with a double and three runs scored, Anne Blake Langford was 1-for-3 with a run scored, Katie Wilson was 1-for-4, Jenny Ballard and Kristen Ballard each scored two runs and Kairee Newton and Amanda Best each scored one.
For the Unbelievable (0-4), Priscilla Collin was 2-for-2 with a triple, Nikia Powell was 1-for-2 with a run scored, Keyunda Betton and Victoria Walker were each 1-for-2, Racquel Williams, Chastidy Jenkins and Shan Peagler each scored one.
The Gators will take on the Dolls Thursday at 6 p.m., and the Unbelievable will take on the Vipers at 7:30 p.m.
Dixie Ponytails
Angels 7, Dixie Chicks 6
The Angels scored five runs in the first inning and held off a late charge by the Dixie Chicks Thursday to take the close Dixie Ponytails victory, 7-6.
Offensively for the Angels (3-9), Jeanna Dorman was 1-for-2 with two runs scored, Bethany Nolan was 1-for-3 with a run scored, Linsey Niehaus and Alisha Stewart were each 1-for-2, Amelia Grider was 1-for-1, Amber Harris scored two runs and Brandi Cofer and Samantha Browder each scored one.
For the Dixie Chicks (6-6), Jasmine Morris and Lexie Bargainer were each 2-for-3 with a run scored, Brittany Gard was 1-for-3 and Sylvonna Marlow and Jade Watson each scored two runs.
The Angels will take on the Red Sox Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and the Dixie Chicks will take on the Heat at 6 p.m.
Heat 15, Red Sox 0
Daphne Moore was 3-for-3 with a homerun, a double and three runs scored Thursday as the Heat scorched the Red Sox, 15-0.
At the plate for the undefeated Heat (12-0), Dana Moore was 2-for-3 with a homerun and three runs scored, Kasi Graham was 2-for-2 with a triple and three runs scored, Taylor Merry was 1-for-2 with two runs scored and Hannah Burnette, Whitney Boswell, Rebecca Dicks and Faith Kenny each scored a run.
The Red Sox (3-9) failed to get a hit in the loss.
The Heat will take on the Dixie Chicks Thursday at 6 p.m., and the Red Sox will take on the Angels at 7:30 p.m.
Dixie Angels
Lady Tide 22, Blue Jays 16
Four Lady tide players scored four runs apiece Thursday as the Tide took the Dixie Angels win over the Blue Jays, 22-16.
Offensively for the Lady Tide (3-9), Mallory Conway, Charli Hood, Callie Waite and Clair Wait each scored four runs, CheyAnn Kilpatrick and Alexia Johnson each scored two runs and Briana Worthington and Lekennonna Powell each scored one.
For the Blue Jays (6-6), Takira Walker scored four runs, Rhiya Daniel and Kirsten Jordan each scored three runs, Mary Glenn Fuller and Madison Monang each scored two runs and Olivia Foster and Chelsey Mink each scored one.
The Lady Tide will take on the Yellow Jackets Thursday at 6 p.m., and the Blue Jays will take on the Rebels at 7:30 p.m.
Rebels 14, Yellow Jackets 3
The Rebels remained undefeated Thursday as they easily handled the Yellow Jackets en route to victory, 14-3.
At the plate for the Rebels (12-0), Taylor King and Carmen Till each scored three runs, Taylor Waller scored two runs and Kindal Harrell, Caitlyn Brooks, Emily Webster, Sarah E. Owens, Tori Simmons and Keauna Steele each scored one.
For the Yellow Jackets (3-9), Breanna Clark, Ashlen McKeown and Tykeria Peagler each scored a run.
The Rebels will take on the Blue Jays Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and the Yellow Jackets will take on the Lady Tide at 6 p.m.
