McKenzie needing back-to-back region wins

They've been counted down for the last several years, but you can't count out this year's McKenzie Tigers as Miles Brown's team can still earn a playoff berth with back-to-back wins over Providence Christian and Florala.
“We win them, we go to the playoffs,” Brown said. “Simple as that.”
Following last week's 48-14 loss at Ariton, Brown said he has stressed to his team and reiterated the things they have done good and pointed out the things they have done bad.
Defense, Brown said, was one of the bad things Friday night.
“We didn't do a good job on defense,” Brown said. “So we are just trying to keep our guys focused.”
This week's opponent, the Providence Christian Eagles, are coming off a 55-0 loss to the No. 1 ranked Brantley Bulldogs, something that has spelled doom for the Tigers earlier in the season.
The Tigers are 0-2 against teams coming off losses to Brantley.
Brown said his team must remain focused and disciplined, especially on defense, if they want a chance to win.
“(Providence Christian) is a well-coached team and they do things the right way,” Brown said. “They have a very good offense and offensive line and we are just going to have to get after them.”
A win Friday night would set up a huge game with Florala at home with playoff implications on the line.
Kickoff for Friday night's game at Providence Christian is scheduled for 7 p.m.
