State Auditor, Beth Chapman will be the featured speaker at the Luverne Chamber of Commerce Annual dinner to be held on February 8, 2005 at the Luverne Country Club. The dinner will begin at 7:00 PM.

Beth Chapman was the first woman in Alabama's history to serve as Appointments Secretary when she served as a Cabinet Member for Governor Fob James in his last term.

She later served as Press Secretary to Lt. Gov. Steve Windom.

In 1996, Mrs. Chapman started her own company, Chapman & Associates, LLC, and combined her love for nonprofits, public relations and politics into one successful company. As State Auditor, Chapman is responsible for all property audits and inventory management for the state of Alabama.

She serves on various boards and appoints one member to the Board of Registrars in sixty-six counties.
