Mavis Bryant Lawson
Mavis Bryant Lawson, age 73 of Andalusia, died Monday, August 18, 2003 in a Montgomery hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2003 at Keahey Funeral Home with burial following in the Carolina Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. Rev. Stan Peacock and Rev. A. E. Ball officiated.
Special music was provided by Louise Jordan, Michelle Norris, and pianist, Mary Scott.
Survivors include her husband, James Lawson, Jr., Andalusia; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Mack (Cynthia) Lawson of Titus; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Joann (Henry) Hammonds, Mongomery; Rebecca Ann Hilliard, Andalusia; Jennifer Dianne Rolling, Montgomery; Sandra Lynn (Rickey) Byrd, Andalusia; one sister, Lala Mae Lawson, Andalusia; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lawson was preceded by a daughter, Shirley Diane Lawson Thompson and a sister, Beatrice Spivey.
Pallbearers were Jeff Hammonds, Donnie Hammonds, Jason Terry, Matt Lawson, Derreck Cross and Chris Odom.
