SEC champ to instruct at soccer clinic

Southeastern Conference soccer champion Erin Hinson will be the featured instructed at a soccer clinic being held in Andalusia beginning Tuesday.
Hinson, the granddaughter of Helen and Harry Hinson, is a member of the Auburn University Women's SEC Soccer Championship Team.
She will be conducting a soccer clinic at the Andalusia Sports Complex soccer field beginning Tuesday, Aug. 5. The clinic is open to players and coaches.
The soccer clinic is divided into three separate divisions.
A clinic for players ages 4 to 7 will be held Aug. 5 through Aug. 7 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday; 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Wednesday and 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday.
A clinic for soccer players ages 8 to 10 will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday; 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday and 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
A soccer clinic for older players will also be held this week. Soccer players ages 11 to 18 will have a clinic from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday; 10:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesday and 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Also, registration for the youth soccer season is being held through Aug. 15 at Johnson Park. registration is open from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is a $25 registration fee and first-year players must bring a copy of their birth certificate.
During registration, players amy also sign-up for club soccer. There is an additional $10 registration fee to participate in club soccer.
The Andalusia Soccer League is also anticipating a week-long soccer clinic next summer. the clinic will be conducted by the Troy State University soccer team. The cost of the clinic is expected to be approximately $80 per player. Parents are asked to let Barbara Tyler at Johnson Park known of any interests in the clinic which will be held next July.
