It's official - the Andalusia High School football game against the Charles Henderson Trojans will be played at Movie Gallery Memorial Stadium on the campus of Troy State University.
Charles Henderson Head Coach Hugh Fountain said the game will be played in the newly-renovated stadium now that liability insurance has been obtained.
Fountain said he was glad the game will not have to be moved because there has been some problems already and some fans are getting upset.
The Trojans had to move last week's preseason game against Pike County to Brundidge at the last minute when it was discovered the stadium was not properly insured.
The Trojans fell to Pike County by a final score of 14-0.
Andalusia lost a preseason game to the W.S. Neal Blue Eagles 20-17 last Friday night in East Brewton.
Andalusia Head Coach Tom Causey said he does not care where the game is played, but is glad the site was approved in time to let all of the Bulldog fans know where to go this Friday night.
"I just want to know so our fans will know and so there's no confusion at the middle of the week," Causey said.
When asked if he would like to see a lot of Andalusia fans in the new stadium Causey did not hesitate.
"Yeah," he said. "We need all the help we can get."
