Pro-tax people

have ulterior motive

Dear Editor:

Why are you afraid to inform the people of Covington County that a large number of our leaders in Montgomery are connected with the school system and will receive a

retirement from the taxpayers for the rest of their life that will be exempt from state taxes? Included will be free health insurance and drugs with benefits increasing each year as the teacher’s pay increases.

These people have nothing to lose by backing the Governor’s tax package. I think that one of our leaders in Montgomery, that is

backing the tax increase, that will pay no state tax, has the Governor’s office in his mind. We do not need more taxes. We should take free travel away and fire the relatives of the leaders.
