The second-ranked Pleasant Home Lady Eagles scored five runs in the first inning and five runs in the second inning on their way to a 14-3 area defeat over Florala Tuesday night.

AHS girls to host tourney

Four area high school softball teams will compete for the tournament trophy in the annual AHS tournament Saturday.
Andalusia, Opp, Pleasant Home and Red Level will join seven other teams, including: Slocomb, Enterprise, Greenville, Ashford, Northview (Fla.), Wicksburg and Jackson for tournament play at the Andalusia Sports Complex.
