Georgia-based Soul Sister Sally is one of several Christian music bands scheduled to perform at Saturday’s free concert.

Local young people searching for something to do this weekend can take advantage of the “Harvest Jam” at Southside Baptist Church in Andalusia this Saturday.

The Harvest Jam will be a full day of free entertainment, including children’s games from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., and a Christian music concert from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. All events will take place at the family life center.

Entertainers will include Soul Sister Sally and J. J. Weeks Band. In addition, there will be a karate demonstration and devotional with Team Kick, a Christian karate exhibition team from Louisiana.

“It’s going to be a fun day,” said Matt Tyler, minister of students at Southside Baptist Church. “We’re going to be bringing in a couple of bands from Georgia, and they’re both pretty well known, as far as Christian music goes.”

There will be refreshments available, and door prizes will be awarded. For more information about the Harvest Jam, call Tyler at 222-4300.
