Wedding: Kelley and Maddox
Donnie and Lynda Maddox of Andalusia announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jessica Lea Maddox, to Shannon Doyle Kelley, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. and Shelia Kelley, all of Andalusia.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of Lamar and Katie Maddox and the late Mr. and Mrs. L.V. (Pete) and Jessie Diamond, all of Andalusia.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Allen and Era Kelley of Andalusia, of Mrs. Thelma Harrelson of Fairhope, Ala., and the late W.C. and Jewell Harrelson of Andalusia.
The wedding is planned for two o’clock in the afternoon today, Sept. 13, 2008, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Andalusia, with the reception to follow. All friends and family are invited to attend.
Wedding: Russell and Williford
Mr. and Mrs. Eric E. Russell, Jr. of Andalusia proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Russell, to Louis Fox Williford, III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Fox Williford, Jr, of Troy, Ala.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby C. Craft of Opp, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eric E. Russell of Andalusia. She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Charles Judson Ward, Jr. and the late Mr. Ward of Andalusia.
Miss Russell is a graduate of Andalusia High School and is a senior at Troy University with a major in digital design and technology integration.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sawyer of Anniston, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Fox Williford, Sr. of Troy.
Mr. Williford is a graduate of Charles Henderson High School, Troy, Ala., and of Troy University with a bachelor of science degree in marketing. He is currently employed with David’s Catfish House of Andalusia as restaurant manager.
The wedding is scheduled for Nov. 15, 2008, at First United Methodist Church of Andalusia. Invitations will be sent.
Engagement: Johnson and Davis
U.S. Rep. Artur Davis is set to wed Tara Johnson of Montgomery.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Ida Johnson (nee Horn), formerly of Florala, and Donald Johnson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She is the grandniece of Hazel Lee and Ray and Lorena Bryant, all of Florala. Lykeshia Anderson, a best friend and classmate of the bride-elect, is the maid-of-honor for the ceremony.
Ms. Johnson is one of the principal staffers to Alabama State Forester Linda Casey and coordinates statewide community outreach for the Alabama Forestry Commission. A 1998 graduate of Alabama State University with a subsequent master’s degree from Auburn University at Montgomery, she has previously served as the state coordinator of the Alabama Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers.
The couple, who met in late 2006, will wed January 2009.
Wedding: Marler and Pate
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Grant Jernigan of Andalusia and Mr. Michael Carol Marler of Elba announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Anna Michelle Marler, to Todd Anthony Pate, son of Mr. Jimmy Evers Pate and Mrs. Diane Loree Pate, both of Andalusia.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Druell Smart of Opp, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carol Marler, Sr., and the late Mrs. Rue Seymore Marler, all of Elba.
She earned an associates degree from Lurleen B. Wallace Community College and a diagnostic medical sonography certificate from The Florida Institute of Ultrasound. She is currently employed with Andalusia Regional Hospital.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Dent of Salina, Kansas, Mrs. Voydell Pate of Andalusia and the late Mr. James Collie Pate of Paul, Ala.
He is vice president of Covington Heavy Duty Parts Inc. and earned a bachelors degree in business management from Troy University.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 4, 2008, at 6 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Andalusia.
